Subject: 2.3 rebello reliability?

Regarding the 2.3 Rebello, I've had one of these motors for about 10 years in a 510, ran the hell out of it when I lived in the Bay Area, put about 8, 9k miles on it down their. Never had a problem, just changed the oil and adjusted the valves every 3k miles. The timing was set at 27 degrees BTDC as per Dave Rebello and I ran simply 93 octane pump gas. Distributor was slightly modified with Perlux igniter and carbs were 44 side drafts, modified. Exhaust was a nismo header and 2.5 with super turbo muffler, all as per Rebello. Maybe I've been lucky but this motor has been very reliable, especially for what I have put it through in the past. Currently it sits in my new 510, I have since pulled the head, sent it to Rebello for a valve job etc. while the engine was out of the car..., still has under 10k miles though, since I moved here to Seattle area, I've pretty much had the last car and current car garaged the whole time. Now as I finish the current 510, the engine gets many new things, one being a Tilton 11# flywheel from nismo, and another would be Electromotive with TWM fuel injection, Timing set precisely at 27 degrees! If I get to 50k miles, that will be a small miracle, I have no need to drive the car, except for fun and events. Motor stay together!!
