A friend bought a rusted out wagon.

Well the police up here seem to find every 510 that isn't mint and give it a VI... He didn't have any fenders for it, I had some, but I wasn't going to give them up.. So I came up with an idea...

Duct tape, and black spray paint.

Worked well for a week or so... But in the end, he 'borrowed' my fenders and sold the car with 'em... without telling me...

.Then the new owner got in an accident... http://www3.telus.net/Denis/pictures/benscrash/04.jpg

Dave Lum's recent 'pee on the frozen locks to thaw them'
  comment got me wondering:

What is the most redneck thing you've done /to/in/with/ your Dime?

  1. I've yanked all but the driver's seat out of a wagon so I
could haul lumber & materials to build my house, garage,
  and other projects.

  2. I also once fabricated a right front fender out of scrap
sheets of polyurethane plastic, aluminum strapping, and
sheet metal screws when the stock fender literally
rusted off (a few winters of NH road salt) and I, a poor
college student, needed to pass the safety inspection
  for continued registration. It passed.
