 Well, it wasn't my 510 it was my `72 pl521 truck actually my dads. High School a junior in `73 a friend had a Cheby Luv truck I wanted my truck to be faster. Had no money for mods but knew what a velocity stack was and did. Again had no money but did notice the family toilet plunger had a nicely funnel shaped end. So I took the plunger outside and ajaxed it clean. Cut the velocity stack shaped end off and cut to fit over the stock carbs throat and secured it with yup!! you guessed it bailing wire. Man my seat of pants feel was woh!!! or maybe it was misfiring brain cells. Cold have been, I mean it was 1973 after all. The 510 came 3 years later...
