9-Starter Clearance, Interior and Uncut Bolts

The bellhousing will need to be modified for the nose of the SR starter. The bolts that hold the transmission to the adapter plate will also need to be shortened so they are flush with the adapter, otherwise they will bottom against the block before the transmission tightens to the adapter.
