    The Comp head assembled with comp springs and a Cam Techniques camshaft - 288 duration, 108 lobe centers, .600†lift, timed at 4 degree advance per the manufacturer spec.

    This is the engines bottom end with the Z22 crankshaft in place. The Wiseco 89mm custom pistons sit on L20B rods.

    Semi Closed Cmbustion Camber

    This head started out with a closed combustion chamber. I call it semi closed because typically there is a quench area on both the spark plug side and the port sides of the head. The chamber has been modified on the spark plug side to remove the quench area on that side. The combustion chamber volume is 45cc. The valves are also over sized 44mm intake and 38mm exhaust.

    This is an NOS Datsun Comp cylinder head. It is based on a W53 casting. The porting/polishing is as it would have been when purchased from Datsun Comp. Both Slover and Gerolomy did the headwork for Datsun Comp back in the day.
