  1. Amazing! My four door sat in storage for 8 years with about 4 gallons of premium in it, and the tank and sender were both clean and rust free when I took them apart to clean them. What conditions was that sender in?

    Here is another assembly tip. Cover your oil filter bung, oil galley holes (on theface of the block) and head feed oil hole with duct tape to prevent debris (dust, animal hairs, whatever) from falling in there. Some of these passages are post filter.

    Make sure you clean the surface rust off the lower cam gear before final assembly. Rust is an oxide (read hard) and can score journals and imbed into bearings if it makes it past the filter.

  4. Excellent! I am taking a similar "stripped of anything unnecessary" build technique on my four door. Mine will have an LZ22 and no cage, I was hoping on getting under 2,000 pounds, you are giving me hope that it is possible! Are you running glass hood/fenders?
