Koni 80B-2008 510 sedan rear shock vs. Rancho RS9115 BMW E30 appl. (1 of 2)

Fully extended the 5-way externally adjustable Rancho shock is 2 1/4" shorter than the Koni. Since the Koni was designed for a stock ride height 510, this shock should be about the right length for a lowered 510. The Rancho shock is 5-way externally adjustable (you can just barely see the adjuster knob at upper left). I also compared them to the Tokico Illumina BE2694 that I'm currently runniing on my 510 and they are 1.1" shorter in effective length when fully extended. Lower eye hole and upper upper stud diameter are virtually the same as the Koni.
