I could not get the fill plug out of the tranny so I removed the reverse switch and threaded in the water bypass fitting I had just removed from the thermostat housing base. I used a 5/16 flexible line and ran it up to the top of the engine compartment and connected it to a funnel with a barb fitting. This made filling the tranny very simple.
