This recall was issued for a potentially leaky rubber fuel tank nipple on the bottom of the tank. Many 510 owners have at some point in their ownership experienced this failure, characterized by large puddles of fuel under the rear seat and in the rear foot wells! -

This was a factory part on the '71 2Dr 4speed with manual choke (USDM Calif. car). It attaches to the forward right under-dash steering column bolt using the round hole. Choke cable (single or SSS dual) fits in the "D" shaped hole. -

Later Superlites have the word "Performance" Cast into the rim opposite the valve stem. Wheel size is 13x6" with 13mm offset. -
