Spent about one day with the prep on these parts as well,, everything had a twist in it or was just sadly bent and had to be straightened and repaired!

Awesome Derek! Great job dude, we appreciate all your hard work!
-
Awesome job.. I'm glad to see I'm not alone with mine!!
-
Yet again, thanks to 510East I have the set of vintage American Racing Vectors and his old set of 205/60/VR13 rain tires to get me rolling!!
-
Mask does the trick Ted! Good ole 3M Blue painters mask.. Clear coat over the entire strut after the color coat..
-
For anybody that doesn't recognise ,, Those are a set of Real Vintage Datsun Comp racing struts.. Nothing beats a good rebuild and fresh paint with a clear coat!!
-
Much thanks Faster510! It's looking real good now, and going in for paint this week!! Let's just pray I have the energy left to put it all together again before Christmas.. lol

Look close!! That's right, he's air born!!
-
Oh, just for anyone that is curious about the Pana looking wheels, they are the REAL Deal Mini Lite Magnesium Racing wheels!! I need to find more of them for Sprite/Midget.. If you have em email me!!
-
Oh Yeah, that's all custom applied material work throughout the car.. Many of the wood panels had to be modified to work as original.. You need to be a carpenter too when working on these old Britt cars!!
-
Made in configurations as LZ14, LZ16, LZ18, and LZ20b, and LZ20bT.. THe later engines were used in Formula Pacific and Le Mans cars and could produce up to I believe 570HP...THere may still be parts available in New Zealand and Austrailia..

I just found out what kind of header this is.. While reading through one of my older Datsun Comp books I saw this exact header .. It's the 99996-8001 Trans Am header with 3 inch collector!! NICE!!
-
Oh yeah.. THe second head is also my Dads original 219 SSS head..
-
I'll try to get my Shop logo on straight after I do the paint work!!
-
Still waiting for the SSS choke cable, but I was fortunate that I saved NOS cable brackets that I got 20 years ago when I worked at the Dealershiip!!
-
I was thinking that as well Ted, but I'm leaving room for the SSS badge to fit just above it..That'll take up the space differance and make it look balanced again..
-

-
