Making the jumper harness Make sure you grab the harness off the donor Maxima too.. You'll want to solder your connectors from your bad washer pump to it! -

This photo shows the Washer filter that was used from the Mercedes system..Good idea I think, as I remember having to clean my nozzels several times from dirt getting into them.. -

Found a way better working washer pump off an 88 Maxima.. The only thing you need to do is adapt the inlet from the bottle to the the pump, as this was a pump that plugged right onto the bottle..And another nice thing about this pump is that it's a sealed unit, unlike the fatory 510 pump that would corrode.. Another thing I did that was on the Mercedes system was to install the screen from the Mercedes pump into the Nissan pump.. Forgot to take a photo of that.. -

THis is the Mercedes distribution T.. It has a check valve in it to prevent the washer fluid from draining back, and keeps the system charged with fluid for next use.. -

Installed the nozzels from a donor 510, found a really nice hose and filter system off a Mercedes, that really worked well also -

I have too much time on my hands this weekend , so I've taken to doing more emblem restorations..The hard part is finding good usable core parts to refinish..It takes roughly 1 1/2 hours to restore each emblem after selecting the good core part..But, I'm super satisfied with the result..I can't tell the differance between my resto and the NOS part that I had left.. Looks like Ebay time again..I'll be restoring the Bluebird emblems next, and may even start doing resto work on other peoples cores.. -

In need of the wiring diagram again..This is the VSS that was a dealer install option from 1984 up on the Sentra/Pulsar and could be easily retrofit to other models..The Z's and the Maxima's were already coming into the country with factory VSS at this time, and Nissan wanted to give other model owners the option.. Helped out customers, Dealers with added parts and install sales, and The Motor company itself, as these sysems sold for 110.00 and manufacturer cost was about 10.00.. They were manufatured at a Taiwanese plant!! -

It was must been a combination of the shoes sitting so long the bonding lost it's grip, and hitting the binders at 70 just twisted them off! -

I was driving home on the 30th and pushing the car hard to see how things were holding up..The only system I hadn't gone through was guess what? THE BRAKES...THey were working real well, up until I had to hit them hard at 70 mph..The whole car jumped when they went..I limped it home and parked it till I got through New Years Eve and Got drunk!! Back to work guys!! -
