    Spark Plug #2

From the album: LZ22 Engine Stuff

These shots were taken right off the higway after extended cruise (2 + hours) at 70 MPH, about 2,800 RPM. I do run side cut plugs, the ground strap wear is normal, the electrodes are worn. These plugs have about 7K miles on them.

  4. I picked up a set of E-Code Hella high beams the other day in the junkyard. The PO had blown the bulbs up, which put a foggy glaze on the reflector and glass. I cut up strips of fabric, inserted them into the bulb with hot soapy water, then did the shake routine... a good long rinse with hot water, and a 20 minute bake at 185 degrees in the oven cleaned and dryed them well.

  12. This is all the plates stacked on top of each other. All the primary holes (engine to tranny and starter) line up fine, but the later one piece plate holes will not line up with the 4 speed specific inspection plate.
  13. This is a one piece engine/tranny plate from a NAPZ-22 engine. It measures .080" thick.
  14. This is a detail shot of the corner of the 4 speed inspection plate. You can see the stiffening rib and offset impression.
  15. This is the stock 510 engine to transmission plate set. The top plate is the thick one that is sandwiched between the engine & tranny, it is .083" thick. The bottom one is the thin inspection cover that bolts to the tranny only. It is .033" thick.
